"Images" By Mary J. Hayes

Show runs from April 1 through April 30

Born in Paris, Mary was raised in New England and has been fortunate to spend time in many parts of the world. The daughter of renown sculptor David Hayes and writer Julia Hayes, critics note that she has inherited their talent for seeing fresh, evocative images from nature. “I became interested in photography as a child when my father set up a darkroom in our home. As time progressed I took pictures to document my hikes and adventures in areas such as Alaska, New Zealand, Ireland, and New England. As with my sculptor father and his work I take much of my inspiration from nature. I find there is beauty in the grandest of mountains to the smallest grains of sand. I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I have enjoyed taking them.”

Mary has exhibited widely, and her work has appeared in numerous publications, including the New York Times.
