Silvermine Guild of Arts - "On a Wednesday Afternoone"

Artwork on exhibit from September 1 - September 29, 2011

Reception: Friday September 9th 6:30-8:00 PM

Master Artist Alex McFarlane and talented Artists from the Silvermine Guild of Arts will be featured during the month of September in the Kiernan Hall Nature Art Gallery.

Located in the historic Silvermine area of New Canaan the Arts Center is dedicated to professional artists and talented new artists where it is an ongoing cultural and educational experience. Ideas can be shared and new avenues of growth and creativity are cultivated. The Silvermine Guild of Artists exhibits are hailed as a showcase for talent from all over New England and has over 300 juried artist members.

The artists featured in this exhibit are all members of this prestigious school, and have participated by selection in jury competitions at The Silvermine Guild of Arts, The Carriage House in New Canaan, and the Ferguson Library in Stamford to name a few.

The opening Gala Reception “On A Wednesday Afternoon” will be held on Friday evening September 9th from 6:30PM to 8PM; when the group of artists will present studies of nature in oil on canvas. You will have the opportunity to meet and talk with the artists about their work during this exciting and talented exhibit. Featured in this news letter are artists Teri DiMargo and Elizabeth Kilgore.
