Self-Guided Group Visits at Audubon Greenwich Sanctuaries
Audubon Greenwich welcomes groups for nature study classes or group outings if they have confirmed reservations via a "self-guided group permit" (applies to groups of 7 or more people). Details and permit forms are below. Visiting groups pay the standard admission fee for non-members ($3 adults, $1.50 children/seniors). Group must check in & pay in the Nature Gift Shop.
Please note: This does not include groups who have arranged an educational program with Audubon naturalists. Professional photographers are welcome but are asked to pay a site use fee (contact the Center Director for more information).
The Center is a nature preserve for passive recreation and the quiet enjoyment of nature. Permitees must abide by Center regulations:
- No dogs on any Audubon lands
- Always stay on trails
- Do not pick or collect plants
- Do not alter the natural habitat
- Do not capture, feed or disturb any animals
- No bicycle riding
- No group jogging (1-2 joggers are permitted)
- No alcohol allowed without permission from management
- Picnics only allowed in HawkWatch field, to north of main building
- No grills, no barbecues, no fires
- Dispose of garbage properly (pack in & pack out)
Inappropriate uses include loud music, active games, races and off-trail activities.
The Kimberlin Nature Education Center is open from 9 am to 5 pm every day. Trails are open from dawn to dusk.
GROUP PERMITS:
If your group wishes to visit lands managed by Audubon, submit for a permit in advance. There is no charge for this permit although a donation to support our non-profit center is greatly appreciated.
