Ways to Volunteer

Citizen Scientists

You can get involved in many ways that will satisfy your interests and help us provide our community with an outstanding resource for conservation and education.

Opportunities are available for adults, high school students and motivated younger children. Weekdays and/or weekends. You can volunteer according to your own availability.

All volunteers also receive a discount in our Nature Store. Some natural history and/or birding knowledge is necessary.

Our Citizen Scientist Volunteers take part in different seasonal animal inventories and research projects such as:

Summer Bird Count
Summer Butterfly Count
Fall Hawk Watch Count
Project Feeder Watch
Christmas Bird Count
Spring vernal pond surveys

To volunteer with our Citizen Science Team or help local wildlife in other ways, contact Brian O’Toole at 203-869-5272 x221 or via email.
