Annual Festivals

Join Audubon Greenwich for the 13th Annual
HawkWatch Festival & Green Bazaar

October 1 & 2, 2011
11 am - 5 pm (Rain or Shine)

Save the dates and join this exciting two-day nature festival at Audubon's sanctuary in northern Greenwich - a celebration of the annual hawk migration passing overhead at Audubon Greenwich's "Quaker Ridge Hawk Watch". Rain or shine, enjoy live animal shows, guided hikes, nature-themed games, environmental exhibits, and lots of eco-friendly vendors who will be exhibiting on-site.

SOME SPECIAL EVENTS INCLUDE:

  • Live 'Birds of Prey' shows: 1:00 & 3:00 pm
  • Hawk Watch & Raptor ID Lessons:
    12:00 & 2:00 & 4:00 pm
  • Rehabilitated Bird Release by Wildlife In Crisis: 4:00 pm - Sunday only!

ON-GOING ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE DAY:

  • See migrating hawks from HawkWatch lawn.
  • Enjoy kid-friendly activities and nature games
  • Shop ‘green’ from 'eco-friendly vendors' & the Audubon Greenwich Nature Store.
  • Join the 'Honey Harvest' and help spin honey from the combs in the Red Barn.
  • Feast on great food & refreshment by Will Morton's Rotisserie & Annie Bananie Ice Cream, and more.
  • Hike to Indian Spring Pond in search of frogs and other creatures that call the pond home.
  • Stroll through the meadows and Audubon ancient apple orchard.
  • Visit exhibits and talk with conservation organizations from around the region.

Festival admission:
Audubon members: $5 for youth 3 years old & up / $7 for adults over 18 years
Non-members: $7 for youth 3 years old & up / $10 for adults over 18 years
Children under 3 years old can enter the HawkWatch Festival for free.

About Membership & Renewals:
