Conservation, Science, and Wildlife At Audubon Greenwich
The mission of Audubon Greenwich is to engage and educate people to conserve, restore, and enjoy nature, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats.

Science and bird conservation is the core of the Audubon mission. Our sanctuaries provide nesting, feeding, and stopover habitats for hundreds of bird species, as well as other wildlife. Throughout the year, visitors to Audubon can see and hear an abundance of birds and other wildlife, even in winter. Our 15 miles of trails, and our bird viewing window located in the Kimberlin Nature Education Center, are ideal locations for viewing our local birds, and staff is always available to help you identify and learn more about the wildlife you see.

For a list of the birds and other wildlife that you can see at our Main Sanctuary, or one of our other sanctuaries, you can download one of the wildlife checklist brochures below.

Audubon staff and other conservationists conduct a wide variety of science and land management projects to maintain the health of our sanctuaries and the Long Island Sound and improve habitat for key bird species.
