Birding Field Trip: Stratford CT

January 20, 2018 - Stratford, CT

Stratford is home to several designated Important Bird Areas for Connecticut. Ducks, Loons, Gulls, Hawks & Owls are just a few of the birds that inhabit the Long Island Sound coast and salt marshes in the winter months. Join Ryan MacLean & Stefan Martin as we look for these birds and more at several locations such as Audubon CT's Stratford Point, Long Beach & Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge. One particular target species will be Snowy Owl, which has been seen regularly in Stratford in the past several months. This will be a special opportunity to possibly get a glimpse of this visitor from the Arctic.

Birders age 6 & up. FREE

RSVP to Ryan MacLean at (914) 417-5234 or rmaclean@audubon.org
