Greenwich Audubon Center CLOSED Through April 15

Our trails remain open, but facilities are not available. Please stay safe!

Dear Friend of Audubon,

The health of our visitors, supporters, and staff is of utmost importance to the Greenwich Audubon Center. In an effort to help protect our community, we are following recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as well as state and local governments and the center building is closed through at least April 15th.

Greenwich Audubon Center’s trails are open with appropriate measures to protect the health of our visitors. If you plan to visit, you are welcome to explore outside, but we will not have restrooms or accommodations available. Contributions to help support the center during your visit may be made online at or in a donation box outside the center building at the start of the trails. If you visit, please plan accordingly.

Because large gatherings increase the risk of spreading COVID-19,  all events and programs are canceled through April 30th. We will offer webinar sessions instead wherever possible, and will be posting updates about which programs will be available through online streaming soon. If you’re unsure of the status of an event, please check our website regularly. We will also update our social media platforms with further updates as they arise.

During this difficult time, nature can provide us with respite and soothing experiences. We encourage you to spend time outdoors, and to be safe and healthy. We are monitoring developments of this situation closely and taking precautions wherever possible. We sincerely apologize for having to cancel our events in the near future and for closing our building, but we appreciate your understanding.

Thank you for your dedication to Audubon and protecting nature!

Best regards,
Eli Schaffer
Center Director
