Join us for our new monthly partnership program with Greenwich's Bruce Museum! Greenwich Audubon Naturalist Ryan MacLean will take attendees on a birding tour through the outside areas of the Bruce to search for both resident and migratory birds. Tours will go from the Bruce Park Playground to Audubon's neighboring Oneida Sanctuary, one of Greenwich's only remaining coastal salt marshes. This location not only provides an opportunity to see bird species that use this special habitat such as waterfowl, shorebirds, herons & egrets but also learn about Audubon's conservation efforts to improve our coastal resiliency in Greenwich.
February 15th's program will also coincide with Cornell's GREAT BACKYARD BIRD COUNT, a weekend-long, worldwide bird community science survey where all checklists submitted will be used as valuable data on bird populations. We will be submitting a checklist from this tour to the Great Backyard Bird Count as part of our series of GBBC programs throughout the town of Greenwich.
Tours will meet in the lobby of the Bruce Museum.
Registration is FREE but RSVPs Required HERE.
