Summer Bird Count
Held on one day in mid-June, the scope of the Summer Bird Count is similar to the Christmas Bird Count in its count circle extent. Not only does it provide a good excuse to spend a day birding in warm weather, but it is also a very important way for researchers to learn important information about the locations of breeding birds.
