Join us as we explore one of Stamford's best coastal birding locations. Cove Island Park has been designated a state Important Bird Area for its variety of coastal, thicket, and woodland habitat that makes it home to an incredible variety of both resident and migrant bird species. The coast of Long Island Sound provides wintering grounds for ducks, loons, and grebes while the park's bird sanctuary offers meadow, thicket, and woodland habitats perfect for Sparrows, Warblers, and other songbirds as they journey south. Binoculars will be available for anyone who needs them.
This IN-PERSON program has a limited capacity of participants and will be held entirely outdoors. All participants are required to wear a face mask covering for the duration of the program.
